New South Valley Market!

A new Neighborhood Market was launched recently at Stone Corral Elementary School in Seville (located in Tulare County).

Volunteers comprised of students, school staff, and community members worked together to sort and bag oranges, lettuce, eggplant, spaghetti squash, and cans of diced tomatoes. Students in ASB were ready and willing to prepare the food and distribute it to local residents. They were inspirational leaders and were eager to serve their community. The fresh produce provided both nutrients and hope to 100 families. You could feel the joy permeating throughout the campus.

Families and individuals who benefited from the Neighborhood Market were from various small towns that surround Stone Corral Elementary such as Seville, Yettem, Cutler, Orosi, Woodlake, and Dinuba. Many of these towns are located in a food desert and access to affordable and fresh produce is extremely difficult.

Many thanks to the Principal, Superintendent, and teacher Mr. Kemper for partnering with Central California Food Bank to get this distribution up and running.
