First Fruits Market - Fresno’s First FREE Grocery Store!
First Fruits Market offers a one-of-a-kind shopping experience! Designed to look and feel like a grocery store, we invite you to browse the shelves and pick out your favorite food items during your visit. We have seasonal fresh fruits and vegetables, fresh dairy items and eggs, frozen foods and meats, and pantry staples available to choose from. Available food items in the market change each week!
After check-in and registration, you will receive a ticket number. Shopping is done in order of ticket numbers—first come, first serve.

Registration
On your first visit to First Fruits Market you will create a shopper account and profile with us by providing some basic information and answering a few household questions. Then for every visit, you will check in at the kiosk before shopping at the market.

Frequently Asked Questions
Do I have to make an appointment?
No. Appointments are not needed. Doors open at 8:30AM on Wednesdays. Fridays, and Saturdays.
Is registration required?
Yes. On your first visit you’ll need to answer a few household questions to create your profile. For every visit, you will check in at the kiosk.

How often can I visit?
Once every 15 days.
What food items are at the store?
Shoppers will have access to locally provided fresh produce, dairy, protein, shelf stable food items, and culturally appropriate food.
Can I bring my own cart or wagon?
Yes! We encourage you to bring your own carts and shopping bags. Please note, FFM shopping carts are limited and are not allowed outside of the store.
Staff and Volunteers are not able to help carry groceries outside or to neighbors cars.
Where is parking?
The parking lot directly in front of the City Center entrance is reserved for staff and program participants. First Fruits Market visitors are welcome to park in the lot located on Clark St. or along Diana St.
